Kitchen Expansion on Schedule
We have a lot of exciting news to share regarding the summer and to bring you up to date on the Expansion Project - there is much to be grateful for.
Progress - The basement, including the cement floor with heating is completed, the second and third floors are framed in and the roof is on and shingled. The windows are in and it's winter-proof. We dug the hole in late May with the goal to be to lock up stage in September. We made it!
Volunteer Help - Very few dollars have been spent on labor. So many times people with the right skills volunteered to help for days or a week at a time. Andrew Stauffer, one of our summer students, put in dozens of hours on the project. We are so grateful for everyone who has assisted us in getting to this stage – you have blessed us abundantly.
The Next Phase - Clarence and Roland, retired electricians, will begin wiring the building soon. Heating and plumbing will begin soon. Second phase also includes insulating the entire building. If good weather holds we would like to put the siding on yet this fall. These jobs will require volunteer help from time to time. Let me know if you can help.
Our Financial Position - At present we are in good shape! We have dollars to cover the first and second phases. People have responded in a wonderful way to this most needful building project. I'm so encouraged. Now we need your help to press on to the third phase without incurring any debt. To date we are under budget due to our volunteer help.
How can you help? - We have received $30,000 to be used as matching funds. If we can match those funds by year end we can enter and complete the third phase debt free. Here are some projects you could help pay for:
1. Commercial Dishwasher - $6000
2. Walk-in Cooler - $4000
3. Walk-in Freezer - $4000
4. Dry wall - $1500 per floor
5. Electrical Needs - $2000
6. Siding - $1500
Every dollar you give will match what we already have, thanks to two generous gifts already received. Friends, this is such an exciting and life changing project for King's Fold. It will revolutionize the way we are able to serve our guests. We have already been so blessed by your help and enthusiasm. Remember this project is all about Honoring God and Blessing People. If you are able to assist us before year end please let us know.
Blessings on you for your great response to a very necessary cause. I'm doing my best to lead this building project and to keep us on budget - it's going well - your help encourages me more than you know.
