Join Us as the Kitchen Expansion Enters its Final Phase
Every experienced marathon runner knows the home stretch run is always filled with mixed emotions... "Can I do it? Yes I can!" From deep down arises a huge anticipation of the joy of crossing the finish line. Often the cheers and affirmation of the crowds along the final mile make the difference. Once I had a fellow pull up beside me, give me a banana and say, "Can I run a mile with you?" He did, and we finished!!
Well friends, we are in the home stretch. We can see the finish line - you're part of the crowd. If we make the finish line it will be because you stepped up, cheered, gave liberally, and offered a cup of cold water because you believed in the project.
It's been incredible how the friends of King's Fold have supported the Kitchen Expansion project. We are presently completing the installation of the heating and plumbing system - walk in cooler and freezer are up and running - rough in electrical is completed and final tie in will happen in the last week of March - drywall is on site and about 1/3 installed - commercial dishwasher will arrive in a week and will be installed (a gift paid for by an extended family).
The exciting fact is all of the above is paid for in full! We have paid no interest and incurred no indebtedness. At the same time we finished 2007 in the black in our operations budget. Praise the Lord! You our supporters, with God's grace, have made this possible. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
The Home Stretch...
Now this is what the home stretch looks like. We need approximately $45,000 to complete the Kitchen Expansion debt free. We have always said this project is all about Honoring God and Blessing People. It is hard to imagine the positive change it will make to the work load for our staff and the enhanced service we will be able to offer our guests.
I am inviting you to be a significant part of Honoring God and Blessing People. Bob Ball was so deeply blessed when we had a celebration this Spring to dedicate the Kitchen to his memory and to honor him and Janet's place in King's Fold's history. He has passed on to his reward now and will not be able to share in the final celebration. However, his strong endorsement of this project was such an encouragement to all of us. Let's give in his memory. (If you would like to see the tribute written by Jeff Imbach, read at Bob's funeral, please click here
Following are suggestions of how you may wish to help us make this final phase a true victory run.
Our Need:
Siding - $3000
Stoves & Ovens - $5000
Carpets and Tile - $6000
Fire Sprinkler System - (approximately )$25,000

To keep us on track for our August completion date we need to raise approximately $45,000 by mid August. Will you help us cross the finish line to Honor God and Bless People?
With gratitude,
Virgil
